• 13:00-14:15 – Ballet Floor Barre & Center

  Start your workshop journey with ballet strength and conditioning. This session focuses on floor barre exercises designed to activate and tone key muscles. Then, bring your hard work to life with elegant center exercises that put those newly trained muscles to use.

• 14:25-15:25 – Contemporary Choreography

  Dive into the emotion and flow of contemporary dance with a holiday twist. Learn a beautiful, themed choreography that blends technique with expressive movement, perfect for getting into the season's magic.

• 15:35-16:35 – Musical Theater Jazz Choreography

  End the day with high-energy, theatrical fun! In this session, you'll learn a jazzy holiday-themed choreography inspired by the glitz and glamor of musical theater. It’s the perfect way to embrace the joy and sparkle of the season.

🩰 What is Floor Barre? 🩰

Floor barre is a ballet-inspired training method performed on the floor rather than standing at the barre. This technique allows dancers to focus on proper alignment, strength building, and muscle activation without the challenge of balancing on their feet. By working on the floor, dancers can isolate specific muscle groups, improve posture, and refine their technique while reducing the risk of injury.

During the workshop's Ballet Floor Barre & Center session, participants will experience these benefits firsthand. You'll use floor barre exercises to warm up and activate your muscles, then take what you’ve developed into the center for traditional ballet movements. It’s a fantastic introduction to ballet technique in a supportive and low-pressure environment!

Tickets are refundable up to 48 hours before class starts. Afterwards, all tickets are non-refundable. No class credit will be given.

GENIE PATRATHIRANOND

Genie is from Los Angeles and has been dancing since she was 3. Her dance education stems from her time at Gotta Dance Studio, Burbank Media City Ballet, Millennium Dance Complex, and The EDGE Performing Arts Center. She's also danced on several teams. These include Icarus Contemporary, NSU Modern, and Dance Production Graz. Her favorite styles are jazz, contemporary, and ballet.

She currently lives in Graz and is the co-founder of Foundations Dance Collective. She teaches both beginner and int/adv jazz with Foundations, and coaches the Foundations Competition Team.

Genie believes that nothing is comparable to the thrill of learning new dance skills. She shares this unique adrenaline rush with her students by helping them push their limits but always in a safe and technique focused environment.

SARAH KRAINBERGER

Sarah is originally from Graz, Austria and started her dance training at the Graz Opera Ballet School in 2007. She eventually moved to Vienna and continued her education at the Vienna state Opera Ballet Academy in 2012, completing her education in 2019 with a Diploma and Matura. While at the Vienna State Opera Ballet Academy she had the opportunity to dance with the Vienna State Ballet and worked with various international choreographers. In 2018, Sarah danced at the famous Opera Ball under the choreographic direction of Eno Peci.

Further, Sarah placed first at the European Ballet Grand Prix and Gala Performance at the Vienna International Ballet Experience Competition. From 2020 she started her studies in Education and Educational sciences at the University of Graz and taught at the Fachakademie für Ballett und Tanz. There she trained students in Classical Ballet, Pointe, Repertory and Modern.

Sarah is the co-founder of Foundations Dance Collective and currently teaches beginner and int/adv contemporary with Foundations. She also coaches the Foundations Competition Team.
