This workshop is designed for intermediate to advanced dancers who want to be challenged, refine their performance skills, and dive deeply into choreography in a focused, professional setting.
This workshop will be taught in English.
Meet István Varga 🤍
István Varga trained at the Győr Dance and Fine Arts Vocational School and the Grácia Art Institute, later advancing his studies through a scholarship at the Kiev State Dance University and performing with the Prague Junior Ensemble. From 2013, he spent nine years with the South Bohemian Ballet, where he developed into a soloist and also worked as assistant and rehearsal director. In 2018, he received the Thalia Award for Best Male Dancer of the season. He currently works internationally as a freelance dancer and choreographer across Europe.
With extensive choreographic experience and multiple awards for his work, István continues to develop contemporary pieces that emphasize physicality, detail, and emotional truth. In 2024, he founded Emotion in the Motion, a platform focused on high-level, intensive training for the next generation of dancers.
