Tickets for this workshop have a special reduced pricing due to support from Stadt Graz. Tanzebene is a 175m2 studio located in the 3rd floor of DaT Probenhaus, a multi-studio space provided free of charge for performing artists. Workshops are allowed to take place in Tanzebene only under strict circumstances and we are very grateful to have the opportunity to partner with DaT Probenhaus in hosting this Weekend Workshop.

❤️ MEET Thabo L. Naha
Thabo Letseleha Naha was born in 1997, on the 23rd of August. He started dancing at an early age of 8, he was dancing in a community group called Jeminah production. In 2017, as a scholar - he got the chance to perform in collaboration with Moving into Dance (MID) and Don Mattere School Inclusive Project at the Johannesburg theatre. In 2018, Thabo joined Moving into Dance as a student for the Performing Arts training course. He got an opportunity to perform at the Dance Umbrella Festival through the MIDM inclusive project and performed at the MIDM 40th anniversary gala opening.
In the latter part of 2018, he performed a solo and received the Sylvia Glaser Choreography Development Award. A year later, he performed at the Global Dance Week which took place at Wits University. Subsequently, he later held a workshop with Themba Mbuli about Inclusive Dance, which was based on how to teach and perform with people who have a disability. He performed a piece titled Skulls of My People by Kaldi Makutike at the Dance Umbrella Africa Festival in 2019. He also got the opportunity to perform one of the great works of Sylvia Glasser, Bolero and Tranceformations, when she was launching her book Tranceformations and Transformation at the John Kani Market Theatre. In 2021, he performed SHADOW GRAVES, which was choreographed by Oscar Buthelezi - one of the projects that the LUCKY DANCE THEATRE ltd was celebrating in their 20th anniversary.
On the 1st of March 2021, at the FAME FET bursary audition, Thabo was mentioned amongst the top 10 who won bursaries to study Performing Arts at Fame Fet. He was also selected by Tebza Diphehlo to be one of the cast dancers in the production of Hara Mpa Ya Lekeishene for lntellectuals Pantsula, that performed The City In Motion in partnership with Moving into Dance, lntellectuals Pantsula and Vuyani Dance Theatre on the 03th of June 2021 at The Market Theatre. The 24th of July 2021, he performed Reflexion Choreographed by Muzi Shili for Lucky Dance Theatre Ltd. In 2022, as Thabo continued with his studies at Fame Fet - he went to Moving into Dance and his work skills had improved vastly, that he was given an offer to become a Junior Company Member at Moving into Dance in February 2022.
He was also chosen to be part of We are Still Marching, created by Mandla Sunnyboy Motau - which will be touring Pretoria, Durban and Grahamstown. In April 2022, he was selected with Sbusiso Gumede by the MID company to represent them at Mpumalanga, where dance companies Unmute Dance Company, Vuyani Dance Company, Moving Into Dance and The Forgotten Angle Theatre Collaborative will collaboratively work for the MY Body My Space Public arts Festival. Thabo performed INGRESS by Mandla Sunnyboy Ntuli and Thandiwe Hlaka at Joburg Theatre between April-May 2022.
